The legendary Arcade...

There was a time that kids (not unlike myself at the time) would spend their hard earned quarters on slurpees and arcade cabinets. There was a time when you could find these cabinets together, clustered in something called an "arcade". It was generally dark, or attached to a convenience store/put putt golf coarse, and always had a floor sticky enough to steal your sandals if you ran around too swiftly. Here there were the school yard legends, the kid that was unbeaten in Street Fighter, the kid that had the high score on Police Trainer, that smelly kid that played DDR all day every day after school and never seemed to shower.

My first impression of Halo Reach, Epic. It feels like Halo should feel but the subtle changes have all moved it towards it's final evolution. Although it is a Beta and there are plenty of things to be balanced, I find myself completely overjoyed with the addition of the armor power ups. There is a little bit of everything for everyone spread across the different abilities and they're all unique and effective in their own right.

So by now I'm sure everyone has had a chance to see a Celestial Steed in action. Chances are if you have been to Dalaran in the past day or two you've seen the floating city littered with the pretty star horses, to the chagrin of many slippery slope WoW players.

Warcraft has been out for five years now and for those of you that have been playing since day one it's probably impossible to see an end in sight. Ask your average hardcore raider if they think WoW will end soon and you're likely to get laughed at. Surely the game as aged but Blizzard appears to have found the wine and cheese of online gaming. WoW might be five years old (making her a veritable milf in online gaming years.) but the old girl isn't showing gray just yet.
