So Blizzard has finally rolled out the fabled under water zone that's been rumored these past few years. The Sunken City of Vashj'ir is a place steeped heavily in Warcraft lore and provides us a portal into the Briney depths to face off against the nightmarish creations that haunt the Night Elves dreams...the Naga!

Turns out that The Sunken City of Vashj'ir is going to be a 72-82 zone in Cataclysm including numerous quest hubs and two new five player dungeons. (The Abyssal Maw and The Throne of Tides) Pitting players against the nefarious Naga as they attempt to gain power from the realm of Neptulon the Tidehunter. The zone will include naval ships, caves and hidden respites that have yet to be claimed by all the water, and perhaps most importantly the addition of the under water combat mechanics Blizzard has hinted at for so long now. Just how all of this is going to work has yet to be seen but Blizzard left us with a few beautiful images to gaze at while we speculate and wait.Check out Blizzards full write up on the Sunken City of Vashj'ir at the Cataclysm web page.
